Where Are You Seated?

Tammy Bruni

Something to ponder on today.

What does the below scripture mean for you? Have you grasped the full implication of what was given to us? How wonderfully incomprehensible is the truth the Christ lives in us, which means we have access to all that is His!

2 Corinthians 5v17 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new".

How many of us still dwell on the things of the past - we have either built an altar or a monument out of it or have let it define who we are right now?

Having worked with many to overcome past trauma - let me tell you a secret - the past only matters to the extent that you need to deal with the residue. That is it. Deal with the residue so it will no longer block you from receiving all that is yours and the truth of the Word.

Consider the above scripture - in Christ there is no past. He has removed it - He made you new when He accepted you in the Beloved. Guilt, shame, regret, pain, depression, anxiety, whatever it may be - He has overcome these things which are related to death. We fear death when we allow negative emotions and things from the past rob us of an extraordinary life in HIm.

Revelations 1v18 "and the Ever-living One [living in and beyond all time and space]. I died, but see, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of [absolute control and victory over] death and of Hades (the realm of the dead)" AMP.

Have you noticed how when you dwell on the past and allow those emotions to take you over how you start to feel unhappy, you lose your joy and often start to feel despair, anger, etc? That is the effect of death. Don't let the enemy steal any more of your life and don't give him any more space. Your weapon is the Word of God, use it to remind him that he is a defeated foe and you need not fear the devil, death or hell.

Live in Christ - call the Spirit of Truth near to understand this word and that in heaven there is no time - everything is present. We have the Kingdom now - not one day - which means all those wonderful resources are ours.

Luke 17v21 "nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”

What if yesterday is no more and tomorrow is not yet - how will you live your life today? Because each day you wake up this is the reality - so make the most of all Jesus Christ has given you in this day. Have joy, live for Him, fulfil your destiny scroll and be grateful for a new day in Him. Let go of the past, stop worrying about the future - today the Kingdom of God is at hand - embrace it.

Mark 1v15 - “The [appointed period of] time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent [change your inner self—your old way of thinking, regret past sins, live your life in a way that proves repentance; seek God’s purpose for your life] and believe [with a deep, abiding trust] in the good news [regarding salvation].” AMP

Blessing in Christ!!
